Scholarship Recipients

 Keelan Beyer of Sabetha, Kansas, is a 2026 graduate of Sabetha High School with a strong academic record and a passion for helping others. He will attend Kansas State University to study Biomedical Engineering, with plans to continue to medical school and pursue a career in orthopedic surgery or sports medicine. A dedicated 4-H member and leader, Keelan has developed strong skills in leadership, communication, responsibility, and service, while earning numerous honors in woodworking, food and nutrition, and 4-H. His strong work ethic, commitment to education, and desire to use his career to make a difference in the lives of others reflect the values and legacy honored by the L.R. Meyer Memorial Scholarship.  

We are proud to support Keelan as he begins this next chapter and look forward to seeing the positive difference he will make through his education, career, and commitment to others.

 Reid Mitchell Plattner of Sabetha, Kansas, is a Kansas State University student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Feed Science and Production. Reid’s journey to college is a powerful example of perseverance, resilience, and determination; he has worked his way from Highland Community College to K-State. His years of service through 4-H, community meal programs, volunteer work, mentoring, and church projects demonstrate a genuine commitment to giving back to those around him. Reid’s determination to pursue an education and his strong work ethic, embody the spirit of the L.R. Meyer Memorial Scholarship and the belief that education can open doors to a brighter future.
